Justin exclaimed, with a relieved sigh once the plane had taken off. The members of NSYNC were going for a work/vacation in Alaska, Anchorage to be exact. The work was merely to do a few photo shoots and promotional stuff. Nothing major. Chris had been the one to argue Alaska was no place for a vacation. They wanted `Sun and Surf' As Chris had put it. But they were not going to get it, so they decided to just take what was offered and enjoy it. "We have two weeks right Lance?" Joey asked with a little confusion in his voce. "Three Joey. Weren't you listening when Seth (That was there management guy in Orlando) was explaining what would happen?" Lance asked, but already knew the answer was no. Sighing he began to explain. "We have three weeks. The first week there is totally ours. The second week we have a few photo shoots, a signing, and maybe a radio show to go on." Most of the guys had been listening and let out a collective sigh that there workload would be low for the next few weeks. JC had been the one silent throughout. What was on his mind was mirrored in his best friends and Lance's. They were lonely. Sure they had millions of fans. Most of them young, beautiful girls who would do anything for a chance at them, but it wasn't the same. They all wanted something that could ruin their careers and change there lives forever. Something that they always hoped, but deep down knew would never turn out for the best. They wanted a man. But not just any man. A man that could make them feel something, deep down inside. They all wanted love, something that all three thought would never happen. Lance wanted something both JC and Justin had, had at one point. If only for a short time. //I just wish I could have someone. Be with someone, if only for a short time.// Lance thought, unable to keep a tear from falling. His thoughts for love, and happiness were quickly stopped when the plane rocked. Then again. "W-what's going on?" Chris asked, his fear of heights and falling from a great one coming in full force. "Probably just some turbulence." JC finally spoke, attempting to calm his agitated friend. The buffeting and rocking continued to grow worse, until finally a loud bang and clutter was heard before the channel over the plane was heard. "This is the Captain. Put on your seatbelts, we're going for an emergency landing." It was as calm as the Captain could make it sound, but it still put Chris practically into shock. It was a small plane specifically for NSYNC, so they were the only ones on board besides the Captain. "Oh my god…we're gonna die…we're gonna die!" Joey started screaming. Chris looked like he was in shock…and icy pale complexion. JC was struggling to calm his young best friend who was gripping fiercely to the seat and breathing small, shallow breaths. Lance simply went back into his dreams. Accepting death was hard for him. He never wanted to die, always thinking he would be an old man, but he had nothing to live for. His family, friend's, the band his fans…he loved them all but no one needed him like they needed air. That's what he needed. He sat back in his seat to his dreams where he had spent so much time over the past year as the plane continued to plummet. **--** "Give me just ONE night, Une Noche…" Alex sang along with his favourite band's song. He was an absolute horrid singer, but he was alone in his car (a Landrover) and thought `what the hell' He was simply looking out to the road where the snow was falling rapidly. Turning his music off he switched on the radio. "Good morning. I'm Pete Richards and this is the weather at 8o'clock. It's gonna be a cold day today," The weather man said over the radio. //When isn't it?// Alex laughed, and continued listening. "…so wrap up warmly. A storm is moving in fast and we're recommending you don't go onto the roads today unless absolutely necessary." //Well, I needed some space.// Alex thought. His boyfriend, Ryan had been yelling again. He didn't know why he was with Ryan. They never got physical, and every time Alex had tried Ryan had pushed him away. "Well…" Alex said to himself. "He actually tells me to keep my fucking hands to myself, and go and find some other slut to fuck." Alex finished, sighing in resignation. He didn't understand why Ryan wouldn't even kiss him. They'd started off slowly, and Alex thought that Ryan just wanted a firm commitment before going further, which Alex thought was a good idea. However, after been together for almost five months now and they still hadn't kissed Alex was beginning to doubt himself and his own looks When the relationship had first began he thought, sure…I'm okay looking to catch a guy like Ryan. Ryan was almost 6ft, around 165 pounds, which was surprisingly all muscle considering how little he did. Ryan had the most amazing aqua eyes Alex had ever seen. That and the thick, sweet looking lips. His teeth were perfect, and his body was tanned from hours on the tan bed Alex had bought but still hadn't found time to use. All in all, Ryan was a babe. //Maybe he doesn't want to kiss me because I'm ugly?// Alex thought to himself as he continued to drive, paying only limited attention on the road. //I've never had a boyfriend before. No one ever wanted to date me. Maybe he's only with me because he feels sorry for me, but doesn't want to go with someone like me.// Alex's thoughts continued to grow more and more into self hatred. The reason he had never had a date was because the women who came onto him were of no interest to Alex and he didn't pick up on the flirting. The truth was, he was incredibly attractive. Short jet-black hair that was gelled into short spikes. He'd had subtle blue tips put onto the end of his spike's defining them more. This matched his cerulean eyes that stood out with his dark, hair. He was slightly smaller than Ryan at 5'9 and around 150 pounds. However it was mainly muscle. This came from many nights in the gym over the last five months; he'd done to impress Ryan. His complexion was rather pale, that also made his eyes stand out even more. Alex finally pulled out of his hazy thoughts with a sigh. //He's all I've got// Alex thought. Despite the fact Ryan did not work, did not do anything around the house and did not even ask Alex how his day had gone, but he was all that Alex had. His family was dead. No father, no mother, no brothers or sisters. He didn't even have any aunts, uncles or grandparents. The only person in the world, besides Ryan that the thought maybe his friend was Nicholas. Ryan had decided he was spending too much time with Nicholas after the first month of their relationship, and so time spent with Nick continued to grow shorter. Once more Alex pulled himself out of his depressing thoughts. " I should be happy." He said out loud. "I have a lot more than some people." With that his driving continued. **--** "OH FUCK! Lance…LANCE are you okay? Open your eyes Lance, please!" JC begged all the other guys around him. They had landed, the pilot was dead, but they had luckily got away without much damage. Joey seemed to have either fractured or broken his left leg, and JC had a nasty gash above his right eye but other than that they had got away pretty unscathed, except for Lance. "I-I'm alright JC. Please…stop shouting." Lance groaned out, pain shooting around his legs and stomach. "The hell you are! Justin spoke up." You have a huge gash across your stomach and your legs were trapped under half of the cabin. We didn't know whether or not to move them, but we're glad we did." Justin finished, speaking for everyone. "Guys, I'm fine really." Lance exclaimed, attempting to sit up before screaming out in pain. "Okay, okay…maybe not so okay." Lance agreed. With Chris at once side and Justin at the other they each helped Lance stand both supporting him at either side. JC was helping Joey. Luckily they had landed in relatively good shape. The door to the plane opened and they came out into grey skies and a white blanket of snow. "Well…at least we know what state we're in!" JC said, trying to cheer the rest up. "Is that a car?" Justin asked, pointing, with his free arm to where he was looking. A rather large, Black Landrover was moving closer but not on a direct course. They were down a hill and the plane been the white colour it was and the rapidly falling snow was almost covered. Justin got Lance to support himself totally on Chris before sprinting towards where the car was. "HEY!" Justin screamed, increasing his running into as fast a sprint as he could manage. "OVER HERE! WE NEED HELP! HELLO!" Justin continued to scream, waving his arms about as he ran. --In his car Alex was absorbed in the new song on the radio. It was `This I Promise You' by Nysnc, and he was once again attempting to sing along with it. The music was loud and so he was unable to hear the desperate screams Justin was emitting. Seeing that the guy in the car could not hear him and the emptiness of the road Justin dived into the road causing Alex to slam on his brakes and swerve the car away in reflex. His car spun around and off the road down the hill towards where the other guys were. Going down the hill the car was moving faster, with the breaks being useless on the icy slopes. Alex struggled to manoeuvre the car away from the guys and his car slammed (driver's side) into a large, mean looking tree. His head smashing into the side window upon contact. The guys mouths hung open in shock. They looked from the car, which for the most part was undamaged, then over to Justin who had a terrified look on his face. "What the fuck were you thinking?" Lance cursed. It surprised the guys, considering he never cursed but he couldn't believe all this was happening. "I-I-I" Justin stuttered. "I was t-trying to get him to stop." "Well, you did that!" Joey said, still staring at the smashed window and the slight blood dripping down the broken window. Lance, struggling greatly made it to the crashed car. He got in the other door which was undamaged, and moved to the guy. His breath caught upon seeing him. This man was beautiful. His hair, his face, his build. //If only I could see his eyes!// Lance thought, right before the mans eyes flickered open. "Oh, much better." Lance said, before realising he had said it out loud. "Oh, my head!" Alex grabbed his head, putting pressure in hopes to dull the throbbing pain. "I am, so, so sorry…." "Alex." Alex filled in for Lance, a smile lighting up his face at the Angel in front of him. "…Alex." Lance said. "Our plane crashed. My stupid friend acts before he thinks. We'll pay for the damages and any medical bills. I am really sorry about all this!" Lance finished. //What's wrong with me?// He thought. //I'm speaking like I'm on my first date.// "Your plane crashed? Oh wow! I'm so sorry! Are you okay, are the rest of your friends okay?" Alex spluttered out. He still hadn't realised who was in front of him. Maybe it was the concussion, maybe just the lack of sleep he'd had over the past few weeks. Whatever it was he did know he was already deeply in lust of this guy. "We're all okay, Alex." Lance smiled at the man's concerns. //We've just almost killed him and he's asking if we are alright.// "Just a few bumps and bruises. I hate to ask this, but do you think you could give us a ride…?" "Lance!" Alex spat out, finally realising who was in front of him, but calming quickly. "Of course you can have a ride. I wasn't gonna leave you here in the cold." The rest of the guys who had been a few metres away, at first chastising Justin, but then watching intently of what was going on in the car. With some effort the car was pushed and rocked away from the tree. The car thanks to the modern technology of steel bars through the car was barely dented. The car started and all the guys managed to squeeze in. Lance sat in the front with Alex. Justin and JC like Lance were in awe of how cute this guy was. "Guys, this is Alex!" Lance finally introduced his new friend properly. A mix of `Hey-Alex' Hi dude, and nice to meet yah,' came from the guys. Justin muttered a quiet hi, still totally humiliated at what he had almost done. The guys had yelled at him and even JC was acting cold towards him. Alex remembered it was Justin who had tried to stop him, and had a thought. "Listen guys. We're not gonna be able to get you into town with this storm. There's a Gas station with a coffee shop. We can get something to eat/drink and then you guys can either, stay there and wait out the storm or come back to my place. Alex pretended not to notice the looks the guys gave each other, but before any could answer, Lance did for them. "That would be great, thanks Alex!" Lance finished with a big grin on his face. A few minutes later in an uncomfortable silence they stopped at the Gas station. Justin practically sprinted out to the shop, which was separate from the coffee shop. JC, after one more glance at Alex, went with Joey and Chris into the coffee shop. Lance looked at Alex and asked. "You coming?" "In a minute, Lance." Alex answered. "I just wanna go in here." Alex indicated to where Justin had just entered. Lance felt the tears rush forward but held them back. "Okay, sure." Lance said sadly. He'd lost the only other man he liked to Justin. He wasn't the hunk Justin was, or that JC was. He knew they were both into Alex. He could see it in their eyes. //Why would Alex want me when he could have either of them?"// Lance thought, sighing in sadness before heading to where the rest of the guys had gone. Upon entering the shop Alex saw Justin looking at the hats that were displayed in the far corner. Approaching Justin he patted him on the shoulder and Justin hurriedly turned. "A-A-Alex." Justin finally got out. "Look, I'm so, so sorry about your car. I'll pay for everything. If you want some money for anything just ask me. Please…I'm so sorry." Justin was unable to hold the tears as they ran down his face. "Justin, look. I'm not angry, and I don't want your money. Please don't cry." Alex pulled Justin into a hug, and rocked him gently as the tears dried up. "Thank you, Alex." Justin sighed in relief. With that both men left the shop, and entered the coffee shop. Justin had his arm around Alex, and Lance, who was hoping it, was totally innocent had his hopes shattered when he saw them enter. Justin saw Lance's deathly stare towards him and frowned. Moving away from Alex. "Lance, man." Justin said, speaking quietly to Lance. "WHAT?" Lance said. Struggling to stay calm. "I'm not `with' him." Justin emphasised the `with' Lance looked into Justin's face for any signs of deception. "Really?" He asked, almost timidly. "Really!" Justin replied a smile on his face. "But I'd watch out. Someone else seems to have an interest." Lance's eyes followed Justin's line of sight, in time to see JC moving very close to Alex, obviously clear in what he wanted. To Be Continued?
