I woke early and was supper excited, I had been looking forward to this
for so long. Cole was ready and the car was packed. On the way to school,
I asked Cole when his dad was leaving and he said Monday morning. I said,
Cole that's awesome as I'll get to meet him. He said, I was hoping I
felt that way. He got out and I was glad to see him happy. In the parking
lot at my school, JJ, Dee were there and their stuff was loaded. As we
finished Carrie and Rob appeared and we loaded her stuff and headed to
class. Rob and I didn't even speak to each other. Determined not to
ruin, an already complicated trip, I ignored the situation. Classes were
great and at lunch, JJ and I chatted and I told him I would call Sean
when I signed out of study hall. I told him I thought that Weston, WV
would be a good stop to eat. He laughed and said, you sure you don't
want to be a tour director. I laughed and went to class.


Once I was signed out of study hall, I went to the car and called CMU. I
talked with the dean and set an appointment for my final, for Wednesday
afternoon. I called Sean and he asked if we were on the way? I told him
shortly and asked what was planned? He said a guys only Frat party, then
he said naturally there would be women there, just not ours. I laughed
and said perfect. He said our girls could hang out with their girls, he
thought they also had a party in mind. I said great. He said that his
crew had classes till 2:15 and we could meet at the food court. I said
that works. School was finished and once everyone was there I asked JJ if
he wanted to drive first or second. He thought for a minute and said
first, That way I won't need directions. I laughed and for the first
time ever claimed in the back seat and damn it was a tight fit. Carrie
climbed in and we were off. Carrie and were talking about all kind of
stuff, very quietly. It was just about where we stood on things, no nasty
words, no tears, just a  conversation between people who cared about each
other. All of a sudden I realized JJ was getting off the interstate. He
looked in the mirror and said, you should invest in an oil company this
things sucks gas's. I laughed and, I'm glad as I need to move upfront.


We got gas and used the rest rooms and I got everyone a bottle of water
and we were on our way again. Soon enough we were at Weston and pulled
into a Cracker Barrel. That was a good choice as it was a large menu and
JJ paid for dinner. Back on the road I was driving and Carrie was upfront
and JJ and Dee were talking and making out in the back seat. I managed to
get thru the speed traps with no difficulty. It was was around 9:30 when
we pulled into the motel in Princeton, WV. It was a Holiday Inn and there
were no reservation issues and we had adjoining rooms. I got Dee aside
and asked, if she wanted to room with Carrie  or me? She laughed and
said, Mike JJ will do nicely. I said if you insist and we headed to our
rooms. The whole way I was wondering when the shit would start.


Once in the room, I turned the TV on and I can't remember when I did
that, unless it was to watch the news. It was for me, tense and
uncomfortable. Then Carrie announced she was taking a shower so that
would be out of the way in the morning. I forgot how much time that took
and about an hour later, in very sexy PJ's she laid in bed beside me. I
said, Carrie I'm going to shower and I'll try not to wake you in the
morning. I went in and took a hot shower, shaved and towel dried my hair
and jumped into bed wearing my boxer briefs and a tee. I said good night
and turned off the lights. It wasn't long when she tried to snuggle and
I let that go, until her hand was on my hip. I rolled over and kissed her
and said good night. There was a deep sigh as I turned back around and
inched towards the end of the bed.


I woke, early as usual, dressed for a run, which was different as there
was no usual route so I just simply tried to time it. I got two coffees
and went back in the room to find Carrie in the shower. I was looking at
the USA Today which I found in front of the door and Carrie game out of
the shower nude. I just looked, shook my head and kept reading. Then I
thought don't be rude and I said, well good morning and I bought coffee
and she replied thanks. I put the paper down and said, I'm going to take
a shower and if you want we can go downstairs and grab breakfast. She
looked at me and said, that would be great. The shower was great and
helped me relax, but I was thinking this might be one of the longest
weekend of my life and that I'm not doing that again. I dried off,
shaved, fixed my hair, put underwear on and found Carrie putting make up
on. I dressed in jeans and a hoodie and dockers with no socks and started
to pack. At some point, I noticed that Carrie was sitting on the bed
drinking the coffee and I asked if she was ready for breakfast. In the
lobby, I was surprised to find JJ and Dee eating. I made eye contact with
JJ and he smiled and I just shrugged. Carrie and I got food, such as it
was, and she sat down at a table, away from JJ and Dee. I simply joined
her and she looked and me and asked, was me coming along a bad idea? I
said Carrie, I don't know was it? She said, I trying and I replied yeas
you are trying to have sex with me, I need more. She asked what more do
you need? I put my fork down and replied, we told the entire school that
we had sax and it needed to be special and with the person you wanted to

or not. We continued to eat in silence. JJ and Dee came over and we all
made plans to leave for campus. About a half hour later, we met in the
lobby, checked out, loaded the car and started off for campus with me
driving.


The drive thru the last of southern West Virginia and Western Virginia
was very rural with lots of small farms and he seemed that people were
struggling. We arrive at campus after a bout an hour and parking was a
bitch so we parked at the hotel, that wasn't a big deal as it was almost
on campus. Carrie for the first time seemed excited and I asked if anyone
had something special they wanted to see. The campus is unique in that
even the new buildings are made to look old on the outside and are of
stone. It is also divided my a large drill field that the cadets still
use it as a drill field, hence the name. I said there is a special place
that I didn't get to see last time, let's see if we can find it?
Carrie, grabbed my hand and said, so what is this place and I replied the
Duck Pond. Everyone, well with the possible exception of JJ, thought that
it sounded like a fun way to spend some time before lunch. It was a bit
of a walk as it was across campus and Carrie kept holding my hand as we
walked. It was a great time, for Carrie and I as we seamed to be in a
more relaxed place. We spent about 30 minutes walking and talking with JJ
and Dee spending the prime on a bench in deep conversation. Walking back
we stayed on the "residential" side of campus and headed towards the
stadium. As the stadium, JJ asked, can we please eat lunch, that
breakfast sucked and I starving?


We all agree and headed for town and ended up at the same restaurant I
had eaten at on my visit. Halfway through lunch Coach B came in with an
obvious recruit and his rents. Once he was seated and settled with his
guests, he surprised me and came over and said Mike it great to see you
and looking very fit and JJ weren't you here about a week ago and JJ
said, who me? We all laughed and the girls were introduced with Coach
telling Carrie, he was thrilled to meet her and hoped she liked the
campus. She said, so far so good and the Duck Pond was fun. Coach looked
at me and said, your idea? I knew you would like that spot. Then he said,
well enjoy the visit and don't let Sean get you guys into trouble. I
laughed and said we need to play golf. He laughed and said Michael you
continue to be unique as I hear you have membership privileges at 3 clubs
now. I laughed and asked, is that unusual? He said have fun and went back
to his table. Dee said JJ he seems nice and JJ laughed and said well when
he wants something he can be very nice. He stopped over because he wants
to see these two asses in those crazy colored football uniforms. We all
laughed and as we still had time before Sean and the guys were available
we went to the book store. I just looked around and when we hooked up
outside JJ was sporting an VT hat and I thought damn, so much for drama
free. I asked Carrie to walk with Dee and they were a little ahead air
said, ok JJ WHATS up with the damn hat? He said at this point be patient
and rule 6. I said great, don't look for help from me, I have been
through this drama with Jim. He smiled and said, asshole I am not Jim. I
said, I didn't mean that you were and I have no idea where that dudes
head is. He said that should be rule 7, worry about what you can control.
We joined the girls and I grabbed Carries hand and got a smile. Just then
my phone rang it was Sean asking if we could all meet at the Rec. Center
and I said, sure we will be right there.

We got to the Rec. Center and were sitting outside as we had no student
ID to get in. I just laughed when a small group of 8 people came around
the corner and it was my future teammates and their girls. That was a
fucking relief as it would give JJ and me cover for the night. It was
introductions and hugs all around and the girls were going shopping and
the guys were headed inside the Rec. Center. Once there Sean had a
conversation with the student who made a call and we were eventually
given a pass. Inside we all just sat and talked and JJ and Rod were
really into a conversation. I started to listen and damn they were
talking Spanish. I laughed and asked Sean about that and he laughed and
said Navy brat with time in Panama. I just shook my head and said those
brats are all around. JJ said he had something to do and would meet us
for dinner and he suggested the Stadium as a meeting place. I didn't
even react and Rod chimed in with I'm going with JJ.


They left and the rest of us stayed and talked and I asked about plans
for tonight and the girls were going to hang out and we were going to a
frat party. Carl, said and Mike we are going to see how buttoned up you
really are. I laughed and said, I might surprise you. I laughed and said
well actually I'm planning on letting my hair down. Sean and Carl
laughed and said well we are actually looking forward to see you in
helmet hair. I said, well during football it is messy and short and never
sees a comb or a brush. I said, ok guys I need to check in at the hotel
and we need dinner reservations for 12. They all laughed and said, damn
you are a spoiled rich kid, where we are going there is no such thing as
reservations. I said that's perfect.


At the Hotel they all laughed about the spoiled rich kid again and I
checked in and got keys for the two rooms. Sean said I guess you and JJ
are rooming together? I smiled and said well Carrie and I are not where
you think we are, it's been a very rough patch. We actually started
seeing other people. Carl, pulled me aside and said, dude seriously? The
way she looked at you, you are simply toast. I said either that or a toy
and he said fuck, I need to be a toy with someone that smoking hot. I
smile and said, be careful what you wish for. I said ok, what's next?
Sean looked at his phone and said well MJ you have a meeting. I said,
really where? Carl chimed in and said Coaches office.


My head was spinning as we walked to the office. I looked at Sean and he
handed me his phone and said read. It was a message from Coach Conn
simply stating please bring Mike to the office. Sean, I wasn't to meet
with them, what the fuck is going on? MJ, I have no idea. I asked, so JJ
told you about my nick name, he said that and a hole lot more. I said
I'm going to kill him for breaking rule 2. Carl said, he'd didn't tell
anything out of school, just hints on how to fucking get you to act like
a teen. I left them standing outside and went inside. The receptionist
asked that I have a seat and I no sooner sat down and the compliance
officer came and sat down beside me and said Mike, last night at the
restaurant was clean. You can't meet Coach Conn here and I am going to
ask you to walk towards the Chapel. You might run into someone and you
visit here was with me to remind you of the rules of the weekend which is
have fun, don't go overboard and no scheduled meetings with staff, well
except for me. Mike, we got off to a different start and we were both at
fault. Welcome to the Hokie world, I'm glad you remain on board. I said
thanks, how about a heads up on this conversation? He smiled and said
enjoy the talk. I said thanks and went outside, where I found the guys
and I said we are going for a walk. I get the feeling you all know
what's going on so how about a heads up? Alex said 2 of your friends. I
said thanks and we continued towards the Chapel. Outside the chapel we
were milling around and Coach Conn, "out for a walk" stopped to say
hello.


The guys started walking and Coach Conn and I followed a step behind. He
said Mike I have two things you should like and a question. Do you want
the good news or the question first? I said coach this is you chat, so
your choice. He said, he said I'll start with the good news and I
laughed saying I'm guessing the question is more like bad news but I'm
all ears. He said well Carrie on Monday will find out that she is
accepted here for the Spring term next year as per her request. I said
thanks. Coach said, actually I expected a better reaction. Well coach,
Carrie and I are here together on this trip but we are in a difficult
place in the relationship. I am glad for her. He said, well as we speak
JJ is making a verbal commitment with Coach B. I smiled and said, I
figured as much when he bought that hat and I am pleased. I was pleased
about Jim as well and you see how that worked out. JJ and I are very
close so is super cool. Understand, I'm thrilled he left me out of all
the decision making. Ok, Mike do you know an Allen Clarkson? I laughed
and said yup, why? Well, is there an issue between the two of you? I
said, he has an issue with me and his parents both work for me. He took a
swing at me in the cafeteria and got suspended and then transferred to
Central. Well just so you know JJ said pretty much the same. Ok coach,
why is this important? Well, we are considering making an offer. Coach
how does that have anything to do with JJ and me? Mike, we are high on
JJ, more so than we were on Jim and well you are our biggest recruit. I
said, coach I told you all I'm all Hokie. Allen will in all likelihood
not get a Christmas card, but there will be a lot of teammates and we all
need to manage any drama. Thanks for letting me know. He said one more
question? I said shoot. So what did you do with Mike Simmons? I said he
is growing up and is a Hokie. Coach, nothing you told me changed my
commitment and I'm all in. I know how important a recruit I am and that
doesn't give me the ability to be a jerk. Like I tell Coach Weston, run
your program and I'll adjust. He said, thanks and it is appreciated. He
started to walk away and I asked it Carrie was aware of the situation? He
said not till the mail arrives Monday or Tuesday. I said thanks and have
a great rest of the day.


I caught up with the guys and asked, ok so what do you know about Allen
Clarkson? They all started to talk at once and finally Carl said he
won't come here because you are coming here he totally hates you. I said
well our high school team will play against each other this year. It will
be what it becomes. So where and when we meeting the women. They said
well we might me late so let's get going, but then again none of them
are ever on time. We all laughed and started off for the restaurant. On
the way, we hooked up with JJ and Rod and I put my arms around and gave
him a hug and asked, so does the Major know? He said naturally and he is
good. I said, dude remember the bet we had about tonight? He said sure. I
said good because, I'm going to do everything I can to get fucked
tonight by any girl not named Carrie. He laughed and said time will tell,
but I'll need proof. I laughed and said by the way you seemed to have
stretched rule 2. He smiled and said, nothing serious. Mike, getting a
girl here is easy, just use a condom. I said well, I brought a dozen.
Just then the girls arrived and we got in line for the restaurant and it
was only a 15 minute wait. I went up to Carrie and told her about JJ and
the big mistake he made she laughed and said Dee had told her. I asked
what Dee thought and she said, she hasn't said much at all. I took her
hand and asked what she thought about the place and we said the campus,
especially the Duck Pond is great. She is enjoying all the girls and that
it is a very tight group. I said, so are this group of guys.


Dinner was an absolute blast and JJ was enjoying being the center of
attention. It was all soft drinks and it was clear that it would not be
soft drinks later tonight. The girls said that they would party at one of
their places and that it would be somewhat calm. Rod said, the frat party
would be anything but and JJ and I were told that there could be no
outside drinking and in fact we should not be outside at all. JJ and I
indicated we understood. I pulled Sean aside and asked about girls and he
said that a sorority would be there as well, but that the woman should
know. I said good and he asked are you looking to take a girl on? I said
possibly and he said if I were you I dump the baggy hoodie and find
something that would show of my body. I laughed and said so where is this
party and he said he would pick JJ and I up at the hotel at 8:00. Then he
said, you will need a ride back so plan on cab as he was drinking. I said
understood. Care,


Dee, JJ and I headed for the car grabbed our luggage and everyone got a
key and we were in adjacent rooms. In our room, I immediately jumped into
the shower, shaved and let my hair do whatever. I put underwear n and
jumped on the bed. Carrie joined me and put her head on my shoulder
asking if it was ok? I said side, babe and thanks for a great day and
that I especially enjoyed the time at the Duck Pond. She agreed and put

she was doing the same. I said we should both take it a little easy so it
doesn't ruin tomorrow and he hugged me. She showered and changed and was
looking very sharp and left around 7:30. I put on jeans and a form
fitting shirt with a long sleeve shirt over it. I went down to the lobby
and met JJ, who was in an awesome mood. We chatted while waiting for Sean
and JJ said well you are definitely dressed to get fucked, the only
better outfit would be you shirtless. I laughed and said let's go
outside.


Sean was there shortly and we drove just off campus to a large building
and were told that most of the Greeks were in this area. I asked if our
women would be in the area and Sean said, we do this about twice a months
and our girls are good with it. I said that's perfect. We parked and I
got Sean aside and asked, did he have sex at these events? He smiled and
said Mike, let's put it this way, it available whenever the mood
strikes. Then he added that they knew JJ and I were coming and that, I

I'll be back. I said I hope so and turned back to the guys. Sean was

Sean, JJ and I developed a unique bond that should turn out to mean a lot

stayed in the lobby and talked.


We were there a couple of hours and it was was interesting and involved,
serious and fun and would need to be finished tomorrow. We shook hands
and I went up stairs.
